I was at the verge of my chair writing opps while watching the first game of the 2008 NBA Finals between my team the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers. The game finished with a 10 point lead by the Celtics 98-88. I was screaming by myself upstairs in the study room, hb is not fond of basketball so he was downstairs watching TruTV (Court TV). My heart was pounding the first half when Lakers was leading and Paul Pierce stumbled and got hurt halfway through the third quarter. Oh my god, I thought that Lakers will really take over having always scored an average of 100 points in the play-offs. But good thing Pierce emerged from the locker room with only a sprained knee and went back to play.
The team work of the Celtics was really tremendous and they took the lead in the second half. They were almost perfect in the free throw line while the Lakers was really performing badly. The presence of the die hard Lakers fan Jack Nicholson didn't help the team to win. Even Kobe Bryant didn't perform his best. My adrenalin is still pumping from screaming and shouting, its past midnight already and I'm still wide awake. Go Celtics, lets crash the Lakers on Sunday again!
