My Son Talks No End

When I thought my son had speech delay I got worried. Although he babbled a lot we just couldn't understand what he was talking about. And then at 21 months, he started talking and he never stopped talking since then. Sometimes he drives me nuts when he talks no end during the day. He repeats everything I say all the time. If I ignore him the more he will not stop, but if I answer him then I just introduced new words for him to repeat over and over again. Oh it was so true what other moms told me that I shouldn't worry at all about him not talking yet because he will talk soon anyway. And they warned me too that when that happens, I might wish he hasn't talked this soon. Hmm, I guess they're right ;-). I can't help but remember that news about a mother and her son who were bumped off a plane because her son never stopped saying "bye-bye airplane" since the plane took off to the annoyance of all the passengers. Geez, I hope that won't happen to us as we planned to visit the Philippines next year. It's a long trip no kidding.
