He already proposed in the car prior to us attending this dinner.

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?
Yes

When was that? (doesn’t have to be specific)
August 1999

First impression.
Intellectual, has a good sense of humor, very nice guy, responsible - in short husband material, lol.

Were you attracted to him?
Yes, initially because he was great to talk to. I was intellectually challenged.

Were you friends before he became your bf?
Our meeting bloomed into a good friendship and very quickly to love relationship.

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
We were matched by friends and right away he wanted to fly to the Philippines to meet me and my family. I thought that was really sweet and brave, lol. He sent me a gold necklace with an angel pendant for Christmas, and I thought that was a good sign because I love angels and he didn't even know about it.

What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
When I thought I didn't want to fall in love anymore after the death of my first true love, he came into my life and sort of saved me. He changed my view about life, love and about having a family of my own.

Several years and few pounds later (or it can be the other way around too), lol,
here we are still very much in love.
