I wrote an early prediction on AI about who I thought would be in the finals. I predicted that it's gonna be Kris Allen and Danny Gokey. I never liked Adam Lambert though I'm not saying he's not good. He is good, it's just that I find him so over the top, his screaming just annoys me. But honestly I thought that Adam had it in the bag already because the judges seem to like him the most. But when the announcement time came, I was still hoping that Ryan would call Kris' name instead. But when I heard that he really did, I was shocked and at the same very happy. Kris is a very soft-spoken guy and may not be the best vocalist but his charisma is infectious. I hope that he'll be as successful as some of the past winners and contestants of Idol.
On a different note, though I've been a fan of AI since season 2, I must admit that this season did not really excite me much. And with the news that Simon Cowell may not be in the next season would make it all the more less exciting. As brutally frank and sometimes heartless as he is, he's the only judge that I want to hear any feedback of the contestants from. What do you think?

I felt the same way! I immediately liked Kris and hoped he would win, but near the end there, I thought for sure Adam would....I was so surprised and excited when Ryan called out Kris's name!
Me? I stopped watching AI since that Sanjaya Malakar season ---where he was on the top 10 and he sucked. And my husband , a musician , and I realized that all, except for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, all the other winners are now unheard of.
