I came back home today to a smell of gas leak lingering in the whole house. When I checked the stove I saw that one of the burner's knobs was turned a bit. My little guy probably played with it while waiting for us to leave for his swimming class. This is just the first time it happened. The aircon was on so there were no open windows at all. So the first thing I did was to turn off the a/c and open all the windows and doors to let the awful gas smell out. We left at 15 minutes past 12pm and returned around 3:30pm, so it has been over 3 hours that the gas was leaking.
Anyway, I was glad I came back home when I did because I was even planning to go to the mall to buy the little guy another pair of Crocs. Otherwise, I don't know what could have happened if the gas was left leaking for few hours more. I don't even want to think about the worst. It's my habit to check the stove, oven and coffee maker if they've been switched off all the time, but for some reason I forgot to check it today. I'm just glad nothing untoward things happened, thank God. The little guy has been told what to do, I hope he remembers.
